WEB VIDEO: Nevada Jobs & The Economy: The Contrast Couldn’t Be Clearer
In tough economic times, Sen. Reid has consistently fought to create jobs and help the unemployed; Sharron Angle would make a bad economic situation worse
LAS VEGAS – While Sharron Angle runs and hides from all media to avoid discussing racially-charged remarks that have caused a national uproar, she and her DC handlers continue to root for bad economic news they can exploit for cheap political gain. The reality, however, is that Sen. Reid wakes up everyday to fight for Nevadans’ jobs, while Sharron Angle has stated unequivocally she doesn’t believe that’s the job of a US Senator.
While the national recession continues to hit our state particularly hard, experts have said Sen. Reid’s success in delivering stimulus dollars to Nevada prevented “Great Depression levels of unemployment.” By contrast, Sharron Angle would be an utter disaster for Nevadans when it comes to job creation, reigning in the abuses of Wall Street, and the overall state of our economy.
The contrast is particularly clear when you juxtapose the efforts of Sen. Reid to create jobs and buffer the impact of the national recession on Nevada with Sharron Angle’s extreme and dangerous agenda that includes her pledge not to fight for our jobs if she were elected. And unlike the pathological Sharron Angle, the video tape doesn’t lie.

“While Sharron Angle and her DC handlers celebrate bad economic news in the hopes of scoring cheap political points, Sen. Reid continues the hard work of advocating for Nevadans who are struggling in these tough economic times,” said Reid campaign spokesman Kelly Steele. “Our economic times are still extremely tough and recovery certainly won’t happen overnight, but the very last thing Nevadans need is someone like Sharron Angle, who believes it’s not her job to get Nevadans back to work, would shred the safety net that puts food on their tables, and would overturn Wall Street reforms and let the big banks run wild.”
