LAS VEGAS – Despite months of denials (read: lies) by Sharron Angle and her DC handlers that statements irrefutably captured on tape suggesting she wants eliminate Social Security didn’t reflect her true views, POLITICO has unearthed explosive new audio reaffirming Angle’s extreme view that Social Security runs afoul of Biblical law – an especially alarming statement from a candidate that literally believes church-state separation is an “unconstitutional doctrine.”
In the new audio, Sharron Angle was caught telling what appears to be a local church group that Medicare and Social Security are symptoms of the nation's “wicked ways.” Angle’s reaffirmation of her earlier statements that Medicare and Social Security violate God’s 1st Commandment came in the midst of a monologue in which she “confessed” to the many ways in which society has adopted “a lot of wicked ways” including policies such as Social Security and allowing legal divorce.
In the primary, Angle was unequivocal about her agenda to eliminate Social Security. She said it should be “phased out” and that it “can’t be fixed,” that it’s “hard to justify” and declared unequivocally that “getting out of Medicare and Social Security is not up for grabs.” But that was before her precipitous drop in polls as Nevadans learned of her extreme agenda and the new Orwellian rhetoric to explain her position, as manufactured by her newly-arrived DC handlers. But despite all the denials of Angle and her handlers, her true beliefs are captured irrefutably on tape here, here, here, and here.
And as the comments unearthed yesterday by POLITICO reveal, Angle is perfectly willing to articulate her extreme hostility toward Social Security when she believes she’s not giving her dishonest performance to Nevada voters or the cameras.
