NV Right-Wing Radio Host Excoriates Sharron Angle & DC Handlers

As NV receives new unemployment numbers, Angle maintains it's not her job to create jobs

LAS VEGAS – As Nevada receives its monthly update on the state's unemployment, Republicans like Sharron Angle who are rooting for a bad economy will attempt to blame Sen. Reid with false and misleading attacks.  However, Heidi Harris, a prominent Nevada conservative talk show host says not so fast – pointing to the disingenuous nature of her arguments.

Said Harris:

“You know and she complains about Harry Reid and unemployment. And then they’ve got video of her that they’re running, and rightfully so, of her saying ‘it’s not my job to create jobs as a Senator.’  Really? Well then don’t bash Harry Reid for unemployment.”

As Harris points out, the sheer hypocrisy of the attacks by Angle and her cronies is remarkable, given Angle’s previous statements on the economy and the role of a US Senator to fight for jobs. Angle has repeatedly said that, “as your US Senator, I’m not in the business of creating jobs” on behalf of struggling Nevadans.

And despite the Republicans’ best efforts to manipulate the bad economic news they continue to root for, independent fact-checkers have noted that Nevada’s jobless situation cannot be blamed on Sen. Reid. The RGJ noted “You Can't Pin State's Job Losses On Reid,” saying:

“It's easy -- and can be fun -- to blame one person. But it doesn't seem to be true regarding Nevada's unemployment rate, even partly.”

“As Nevadans begin to understand Sharron Angle’s extreme and dangerous agenda, her tanking campaign continues to hemorrhage support – this time from a prominent Nevada conservative talk voice, who can’t help but acknowledge the rank hypocrisy of Angle’s false economic arguments,” said Reid campaign spokesman Kelly Steele. “While Sen. Reid wakes up every day and fights for the jobs of struggling Nevadans, Sharron Angle has no interest in going to bat for Nevada jobs or helping unemployed Nevadans in these tough economic times.”
