Angle Says Website Scrub Simply Removed “Idle Words”
But vows to pursue court challenge to suppress her pre-scrubbed website including extreme positions like eliminating Social Security & Dept of Education
LAS VEGAS – It remains to be seen how much leeway Sharron Angle’s new DC handlers will allow her in her attempts to suppress her extreme and dangerous agenda from Nevadans, but according to Angle, she’s going to court to stop her pre-scrubbed website from being put back into the public domain. Angle’s declaration that she intends to pursue her attempt to censor publication of her own previous statements comes despite her lawyer telling POLITICO yesterday that there were no real legal concerns regarding the modified website.
Just this morning, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported that Angle said she was simply removing scrutiny of “idle words” from her website, now that she’s in the general election:
“After she won the chance to take on U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., her site was revamped to look better, and most of the content under ‘the issues’ section was removed or changed. Angle told radio host Bill Manders: ‘Well, you know, we're in a general election. And they're demanding things; today, I actually softened because I'm being held accountable for every idle word, as you know.’”
The reality is, Angle’s handlers pulled down nearly 3,000 words of text from her original, pre-primary website that outlined her extreme agenda to end Social Security, abolish the Department of Education, make Yucca Mountain into America’s nuclear waste haven, pull the US out of the UN, and deregulate big oil companies like BP.

“The fact that Sharron Angle says her extreme agenda to eliminate Social Security, abolish the Department of Education, and make Yucca Mountain into America’s nuclear waste haven is simply ‘idle words’ shows how truly out of touch she is with mainstream Nevadans,” said Reid campaign communications director Kelly Steele. “The fact that Sharron Angle intends to go to court to suppress publication of her extreme agenda from Nevada voters should tell them everything they need to know about her dangerous plans for Nevada’s future."
