Foreclosure workshop offered for Vegas homeowners
KVVU, 8/8/11 - Homeowners in Las Vegas will have the opportunity to seek help in preventing foreclosure in a workshop Saturday, the office of Sen. Harry Reid announced.
The workshop, which is being hosted by Sen. Reid's office, is for struggling homeowners with a Bank of America loan in Nevada will have a HUD-approved housing counselor and a Bank of America representative available to them to discuss options to help avoid foreclosure.
The workshop comes on the heels of Monday's AIG lawsuit against Bank of America and the downgrade of lenders Freddie Mac and Fannie Mac's credit downgrade.
The workshop is slated for the Consumer Credit Counseling Services at 2650 South Jones Boulevard, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
