The day I was able to say that [even], we made $236,000 dollars...when I said it on Sean Hannity's television show we made $40,000 before we even got out of the studio in New York. While that's a conveniently literal interpretation of the role of the media in campaigns, sadly for Sharron it's not accurate or correct in any way, shape, or form.

The role of the press is to honestly and objectively report on campaigns and candidates to ensure the public has unbiased information on which to base their decisions about voting. NOT to make candidates money. An independent and objective press corps is an essential part of American democracy. The fact that Sharron Angle does not understand that is both telling and disturbing.
While she does softball interviews for money, Angle still refuses to answer questions about the "2nd amendment remedies" she would pursue, the "domestic enemies in Congress" she's identified, or evidence to support her claim that "President Obama is a socialist.". In fact, she almost completely ignores local media, because someone might ask a tough question!
