Statement on Sharron Angle’s Fundraising Claims
LAS VEGAS – In response to the Angle campaign's release of a portion of their third quarter fundraising numbers, Reid campaign spokesman Kelly Steele issued the following statement:
"Sharron Angle's fundraising number is meaningless without disclosing how much they spent to raise it. In fact, Angle's shady fundraisers are reputed for cooking the books and fleecing their clients, so any number Angle may assert to generate media buzz is highly suspect. And while Sharron Angle ignores Nevada media and exploits her right-wing allies to gather support from out-of-state, Sen. Reid enjoys support from top Nevada Republicans like Bill Raggio and Dema Guinn. Unfortunately for Angle, no amount of money can reverse Nevadans' understanding that her extreme and dangerous agenda is far outside the mainstream."
