LAS VEGAS – Today, Friends for Harry Reid released its newest Web video highlighting news reports from across the state crediting the Senator for winning a decades-long struggle to stop Nevada from becoming the nation’s nuclear waste dump.
The video includes journalists, analysts, and long-time Yucca opponents stating that the dump is dead because of one man: Harry Reid. It also shows Sue Lowden and Danny Tarkanian talking to groups about their eagerness to bring nuclear waste to Nevada.
“This is a huge victory for the state of Nevada that would not have been possible without the determination of Sen. Reid,” said campaign manager Brandon Hall. “Nevadans know that his work prevented our state from becoming the nation’s nuclear dumping ground, and that stopping the dump helped protect tourism.”
