Reid Campaign Unveils iPhone App to Keep Voters Connected with Breaking News, Grassroots GOTV
LAS VEGAS – Nevada Senator Harry Reid’s campaign today unveiled a new iPhone app that will allow Nevadans to keep up with all facets of the campaign and instantly receive important updates leading up to Election Day. The free app, available in the Apple App Store, features one-touch access to the latest news from Senator Reid’s campaign web site, Twitter feed, and Facebook page, as well as the most recent YouTube videos and photos from the campaign trail. Additionally, users are encouraged to upload their own photos, videos and other content to the app to share with the campaign. Selected content will then be featured on HarryReid.com and social networks. The app also allows users to receive breaking news instantly through push messages.
“This new app will keep Nevada voters informed about the clear choice they have on November 2,” Reid communications director Kelly Steele said. “The app includes everything from the latest news and social media to easy electronic sign-up forms for volunteering and donating to Senator Reid’s campaign. Users can even contribute their own content using the app.”
