Harry Reid ‘tele-town hall’ on health care starts out civil
Las Vegas Sun, 08-28-09 — Midway through Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s telephone town hall on health care this afternoon, it's all very civil.
Reid reiterated his support for the public option.
"I’ve told people, whoever will listen, I’m in favor of the public option," he said.
And he told a story of being stopped in the grocery store in Nevada by a shopper who had a get-government-out-of-my-Medicare comment, which has been so widespread during the health care debate.
