Sen. Reid: Nevada’s Businesses First Choice
Today, the Las Vegas Review Journal released a poll showing that Sen. Harry Reid is Nevada’s business community’s favorite in the November 2010 elections, besting potential opponent Sue Lowden by an eye popping 50 percentage points.

Sen. Reid’s strong support should come as no surprise, as he has made Nevada’s business community a top priority:
- Inserting a debt cancellation provision in the Recovery Act that protected tens of thousands of gaming industry jobs, including 31,000 Harrah's employees in Nevada alone.
- Passing the Recovery which, which provided billions in tax relief for small businesses, including $5 billion in tax relief by allowing small businesses to use the 2008 operating losses to get a refund of taxes paid in prior years.
- Extending the homebuyer tax credit, a provision helping shore up Nevada's struggling housing market.
- Working to pass a new Jobs Bill that will provide a job tax credit, incentivizing hiring new employees.
- Freeing up millions in credit through the Small Business Administration.
