This November, Nevada voters will have a very simple, very clear choice to make. You know where I stand: for creating Nevada jobs, for tax breaks for middle class families, for moving Nevada, and America, forward.

THE CLAIM: Sharron Angle, Lame-duck Gov. Jim Gibbons and the Republican National Committee are blaming Harry Reid for NV missing out on the latest round of Race to the Top funds.

THE FACTS: Jim Gibbons is the reason Nevada didn’t receive Race to the Top funding. No one has done more for education in NV than Harry Reid, and if it were up to Sharron Angle, NV wouldn't get a dime for education.

My wife and I participated in the Day of Action at Senator Reid's campaign office in Summerlin which gave us the opportunity to meet Carole King, who came to the office to lend her support to the Senator.

What a night!

It's always exciting to spend an evening with the President of the United States and a room full of pumped-up supporters. But last Thursday night, I felt a special electricity in the air.

"I was thrilled to find out I was the winner of Senator Reid's UFC 116 free ticket drawing. Knowing the Senator's history as a former boxer, I really couldn't wait to hear his perspective during each bout. I've never been so close to the action in a major sporting event before, I felt so privileged to be ringside. Senator Reid and I were sitting in between Sam Bradford, the #1 pick in the NFL Draft, and UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell. It was really an amazing experience and an incredible honor for me. The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, on behalf of its millions of members and supporters, enthusiastically endorses your re-election to the United States Senate.

“Hundreds of millions of dollars,” answered ‘Rajun Cajun’ James Carville. “That’s what Nevada loses by not reelecting Harry Reid this fall.” This in response to a question lobbied at him by one of the many Young Professionals for Harry Reid at a recent meet and greet held in Reno.

Carville was in Reno at the Silver Peak Restaurant and Brewery to answer questions from young professionals across Northern Nevada relating to Senator Harry Reid and his far-right opponent Sharron Angle. Carville, an internationally renowned political strategist and former host of CNN’s Crossfire was in Nevada to make the case for why Nevada needs Harry Reid now more than ever.

This week, a shadowy conservative group called "American Crossroads" - led by none other than Karl Rove - spent $120,000 to run TV ads in Nevada lying about my record.

That's right - Karl Rove is still at it. And my opponent is his new pet cause.

And no wonder. He and George W. Bush tried to privatize Social Security. My opponent wants to get rid of it altogether.

It's this season's hottest new trend: Republicans nominating candidates so far to the right, they're practically falling off the map.

You might be familiar with Rand Paul, the Kentucky candidate who went so far as to question the Civil Rights Act.

Well, meet Sharron Angle. She's the newly-minted Republican nominee to run against Senator Reid - and she makes Rand Paul look like a reasoned moderate.

We all know that if Dick Cheney tells you it's beautiful outside, you'd better pack an umbrella.

As the right-wing continues their desperate attacks on Harry Reid’s long record of delivering for Nevada, Dick Cheney’s daughter has joined the fray with a ridiculous new ad filled with false claims about Sen. Reid's commitment to our troops and creating jobs.

The truth is that no one fights harder than Harry Reid to create jobs, and deliver for our troops and veterans.

Last week the Senate passed the most sweeping Wall Street reform package since the Great Depression. Next it'll go to conference with the House to reconcile both versions, and then the President will sign this critically important bill into law.

Risky behavior driven by insatiable greed on Wall Street nearly destroyed our economy, and cost millions of Americans their jobs in the process. In my view, Wall Street reform is a good example of exactly why we are here.

One of my most important jobs as a Senator is to provide advice and consent for nominees to the United States Supreme Court. Last week I had the honor of meeting with President Obama's choice to succeed Justice John Paul Stevens, Solicitor General Elena Kagan.

Elena first came to my attention when she was nominated to be the people's lawyer, our Solicitor General, early last year. Boy, was she impressive. Experienced, incredibly smart, legally savvy, and above all -- tough enough to fight for the most important client of her career: the people of the United States. It's no surprise she was confirmed for that job with bipartisan support.

Recently we learned that 25,446 Nevadans have collected $186,224,568 in tax credits from the first-time homebuyer tax credit program in the last two years.  I'm glad to see that this program, which I led to passage in the Senate, has been so successful in Nevada.

In addition to reducing the excess inventory of homes, it is helping to boost our state's economy by providing an incentive for people to buy a home.  It is my hope that this program has provided the shot in the arm Nevada's housing market needs so it can continue to stabilize and start to recover.
