Senator Reid believes that no one, regardless of their ethnic background, should be subject to discrimination in the workplace or anywhere else. It not only hampers our economic growth, but is just plain wrong.
That’s why Senator Reid was praised by the Asian-American Justice Center, a national civil rights organization, for striking down a harmful amendment that could have severely restricted the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s ability to crack down on employers that have illegally used English-only polices in a discriminatory manner in the workplace.
Asian Week reported that Vincent A. Eng, deputy Director of the Asian American Justice Center commended Reid for “taking a strong stance against any erosion of workplace discrimination enforcement.”
